A two days conference was organised at Asian Development Bank(ADB) Headquarter, Manila by Asia Pacific Public Electronic Procurement Network (APPEPN) on 5-6 October 2015.This conference aimed to strengthen the capacity of public procurement agencies in Asia and the Pacific to implement e-procurement solutions based on international best practices and sharing of experiences.Procurement specialist from public procurement agencies (policy and implemenation) of each developing member country have been invited to the conference.

The objective of the conference were : a) to build a network of e-procurement practitioners and peers, b)to identify potential areas of collaboration with e-procurement practitioners through the proposed network,
c)to gain new insights and knowledge on e-procurement regulation, management and reform in the public sector,
d)to understand implications of using e-procurement for cross-border trade

Representatives of countries like India, Republic of Korea,China,Indonesia,Mongolia,Georgea,Phillipines,Vietnam,Kyrgyz Republic etc shared their views and exchanged ideas on the objective of the conference. Mrs. Usha Saxena of NIC and Mr. A.K.Jain of Ministry of Commerce represented India on the Implementation of eProcurement Under Mission Mode Project (MMP) in India across Central Govt. Departments,Public Sector Undertakings and States/UTs.
