Shri. Yashpal Garg, IAS Chief Executive Officer Chandigarh Housing Board | March 2023
The Chandigarh Housing Board was having unsold properties (Residential & Commercial) at different locations in the City. Sale of the properties was being done once in two/three years and the large number of unsold constructed properties was a reason of worry because these were deteriorating. GePNIC© has provided a platform where the competitive bidding is being fair & transparent manner. In last about two years, the e-Tenders process for disposal of unsold properties is being done on monthly basis. The CHB has succeeded in sale of 283 properties and has earned an amount of Rs. 190.58 crores during last about 20 months.
The e-Tender process is found to be completely safe, secure, fair and transparent. Though 283 e-Tenders were finalized yet there was no complaint about the process adopted. Infact everything is so seamless and confidential that there is no possibility of cartelization or other sort of malpractices. The bidders, whether successful or not, have openly appreciated the transparency and fairness of the e-Tender process. This all has become possible because of the robust GePNIC© initiative.
